Dynamics 365 ERP Technical Consultant

Summary:

This key role is to work as part of the application team and plan, design, build, configure, commission, and maintain projects. The successful candidate will be required to follow regular procedures to ensure all the tasks are delivered as per schedule.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical consultancy to clients for Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O projects.

  • Reviews Functional design of given business requirements for technical solution and detailed technical design (TDD)

  • Engage in discussions with functional consultants for design clarifications.

  • Produces high-quality TDD documents as per set standards and templates.

  • Drive/Assist Technical design on the GAP requirements with other technical teams to ensure technical quality is consistent

  • Work closely with the rest of the development teams to assist them in development to adhere to project timelines.

  • Design and develop end-to-end solutions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Retail, POS, Commerce, Trade and logistics, and Finance Modules.

  • Coordinate migration, by utilizing Dynamics AX 2012 & D365.

  • Manage the customization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 using X++ and C#.

  • Design and develop Dynamics 365 retail extensions for MPOS/CPOS for example, CRT and retail server extensions.

  • Able to design, develop, test and support data integrations between third-party, legacy systems and Dynamics AX using AIF services, D365 web services and file-based integration, CDX (Common data exchange) and CDS (Common Data Service), .NET business connector, data entities and SQL server integration services (SSIS).

  • Implement best practices and improve the ongoing maintenance process.

  • Reports development for Microsoft Dynamics AX (Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012-R3 and 365 by using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

  • Manage architecture and perform both functional and technical analysis of solution designs in Dynamics 365 F&O.

  • Dynamics Commerce platform implementation, customizations and integrations

  • PSP (Payment Service Providers) integration with D365 F&O

  • Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS) Management

  • Customize proprietary software based on client needs.

  • Assure that application design and implementation are consistent with technology strategy, Assist in devising unit test plans.

  • Provide production support for software systems.

Technical Skills:

  • Dynamics 365 F&O & AX-2012 customizations by using X++.

  • Dynamics Retail, POS customizations by extending retail server and commerce runtime using C#.

  • Dynamics AX 2012-R3 and Dynamics 365 integrations.

  • SQL server reporting services (SSRS).

  • SQL server integration services (SSIS).

  • Knowledge of Related Microsoft technologies such as PowerBI, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Data Lake, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft Office SharePoint.

  • An understanding of the broader Microsoft stack and be able to leverage it to create powerful solutions (PowerApps, Common Data Services, Office 365) and work in fast-paced Agile environments.

  • Understanding of integrations and third-party solutions

  • Microsoft eco-system with a combination of 2-4 D365 F&O or AX 2012 R2, R3 full lifecycle implementations in SCM

  • Experience with Lifecycle Services, including BPM/RSAT and DevOps.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in same role

Other information:

  • Salary: Above market - can be negotiated

  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days WFH - can be negotiated depending on candidates’ location
